I'm 16, and I've always worn this kind of make-up everyday, but lately, my little sister has been saying it's too much:
Liquid foundation, which I'd rather not wear, but I have a lot of scars from chickenpox and acne on my skin.
Black winged eyeliner
Mascara
Chapstick
and sometimes blush, but that's maybe once, every 2-3 weeks?
Is this really too much for a 16 year old? Now that my sister's said it, I feel really self conscious about it.. :|

If your foundation is drugstore I would switch to a higher end one, because if you're using it every day then investing into a more expensive brand will save your skin and not be so harsh/irritating. If you cannot switch to a more expensive foundation then I would recommend not wearing foundation every day and using concealer on the days you don't, because some foundations can be pretty heavy.
But other than that I think the amount of makeup you wear is fine. Chapstick doesn't really count as makeup haha.
Other Answers:I wear all that plus a loose powder over the top too, i do it cause it makes me feel better and more confident about myself. If you do it and it makes you feel good etc then continue:) Most girls wear some form of makeup, and maybe your sister will start too (or maybe she is really lucky and has nice even skin lol). She is probably just a bit too young still for all of that is you are only 16 yourself. Be you, be comfortable with who you are, if it means you need a coat of mascara then go for it :)
I wear a lot more than that and sometimes I feel like it's too much. I look at it this way: if i like the way it looks, i'm going to wear it no matter what other people say.
That's not a lot of makeup at all, so don't worry about it. She's your little sister so she's probably only wearing like lipgloss and that's it. lol
I think it's a lot personally.. But I believe less is more..If you think the scarring is very bad use your foundation but make sure it's a good match and don't use the cheap stuff. Make sure you don't forget to use a good facial cleanser..Everyday..
A nice tinted lip gloss and some mascara is good for everyday use.. Give your face a break!
No! well as long as you dont look fake. I think you should try the new nuetragena (did i spell that right?) liquid foundation, because it helps erase acne, and is good for the skin because it doesnt clog pore like other foundation does. And its covers it up just as well.
No dont worry thats fine. Your sister is just probally saying that much to make you self conscious. Or she's jelous because she cant wear that much. It all depends on her age but your amount of makeup is fine!
Hard to judge based on text. I would say it depends on how much you use. Who taught you how to put make up on? Ask someone who knows a lot about this or even look it up on YouTube.
Id use brown eyeliner cause it looks more natural and use soft pink lipstick shades itll make you look natural fresh and young
That is not to much at all! I would say if you wanted to you could even wear a coloured lipgloss or lipstick! i think that is the perfect amount!
hope this helped :)
No not at all, i wear about that much on a daily basis. And why listen to what your little sister says, what does she know?
Don't care what your sister says! It's your choice how much makeup you wear. Live your life the way *you* want to live it!
nah girl that's not badd. as long as your face doesn't look like a cake, you're good.
No not at all...im 14 and i wear just that or maybe a little more...
